It Takes Only 40 to Watch “60 Minutes” — And You Don’t Even Need A TV

January 3, 2023January 3, 2023

This year’s first episode reminds me why it’s indispensable.

The first segment, on Radio Free Europe, concerns the struggle between autocracy and democracy that 18 of their correspondents have died reporting on.

The second, on The Sixth Mass Extinction, notes that the first five were caused by volcanoes and a giant asteroid, but that this one is all ours — and there are things we can still do about it.

The third, on Obesity, will interest anyone who’s overweight.  Or loves someone who is.

Hats off to “60 Minutes.”

The show in the House today should be interesting as well.
