At 5am, it appears Al Gore has outpointed George Bush in the popular vote by a quarter million votes.

In Florida, pending the recount, there’s a 987 vote lead for Bush.

Whatever happens, one thing is clear. I think we can say with some assurance . . . Ralph Nader is a big fat idiot.
