The Car Of The Future?

Japanese firm believes it could make a solid-state battery with a range of 745 miles that charges in 10 minutes.

And not just any Japanese firm — Toyota.

Perhaps not great for Tesla or General Motors, but potentially great for the planet.

We have all the energy we need, virtually free, from the sun.

Not just for cars; for everything.

And we have the technology.

All we need to solve now, as President Clinton used to say so often near the end of his presidency, is the oldest problem of all.  Not splitting the atom or mapping the human genome or landing men on the moon.  Just this: learning to live with each other.
