Lindbergh And Carlson

March 17, 2023

Thom Hartmann  explains why he thinks Republicans Frightened of “A Guy Called Tucker Carlson” Could Cause WWIII, arguing that “In the 1940s, Republicans appeasing a fascist dictator were led in the media by an ambitious young man named Charles Lindbergh; today’s GOP follows — and fears — Tucker Carlson.”

Some really interesting history, if you click.

Let’s hope it neither repeats nor rhymes.

But it sure makes you wonder how different things would be if Lindbergh had won the day and we were now 80 years into the 1,000-year Reich.

(As imagined, for example, in Philip Roth’s The Plot Against America.)
