Either Way . . . November 3, 2021November 3, 2021 PRKR received new favorable Markman rulings, as described here. The ex-Goldman Sachs guy who writes these reports gives the company a probability-adjusted “sum-of-the-parts” value of $11.34 a share. At anything close to that price, I’d be really nervous about all the things that might go wrong. But at yesterday’s close of $1.22, I like our odds. The odds in Virginia, on the other hand, as I drift off to sleep, seem bad. Could it be “Dewey beats Truman?” when I wake? We’ll just have to see. But for sure, either way, our democracy is in trouble . . . 82% of Fox News Viewers Believe the Election Was Stolen . . . A new national poll from the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) published on Monday shows that 31 percent of Americans believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump. That figure includes an overwhelming 82 percent of Americans who trust Fox News more than any other media outlet, 97 percent of those who trust One America News Network and Newsmax, and two-thirds of Republicans generally. The poll also finds that 30 percent of Republicans believe violence may be needed to resolve domestic issues in the United States. Only 17 percent of Independents and 11 percent of Democrats felt the same way. . . . . . . and whatever happens, those of us who believe in our democracy, and in telling the truth — like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger and Brad Raffensperger (and every Democrat and Independent) — need to keep at it, setbacks and all.
