PROTECTING AMERICA So the 9/11 Commission issued its report a couple of weeks ago calling for strong action to avert grave danger. The House Republican leadership sprang into action, spending six hours on a bill to prevent courts – even the Supreme Court – from challenging anti-gay-marriage laws . . . passed that (surely unConstitional) law . . . and then adjourned for summer vacation.
