Here’s A Question:

December 1, 2021December 1, 2021

Here’s A Question: Should Steve Bannon, who refuses to talk, be waterboarded?

Waterboarding, Bush, Cheney, Trump and others have assured us, is not torture.

And what’s being investigated here is not a plot to kill Americans, but a plot to kill American democracy itself . . . long the world’s beacon of hope . . . a counterbalance to tyranny . . . to last-century autocrats like Stalin who branded the press “the enemy of the people” and Hitler who was adored by white supremacists . . . a counterbalance to contemporary autocrats like Putin and Duterte and Kim who have journalists and political rivals murdered.

The answer is of course is no.  Bannon should not be waterboarded,

Just reviled.
